Greek islands
The islands of the Dodecanese are situated in the eastern part of the Aegean Sea, at close range of the Turkish coast. It consists of a dozen main islands and a big number of smaller ones, each with his typical individual character. (dodeka=twelve, nisos=island.)
The Dodecanese have a rich history and as far as nature and sights are concerned they belong to the most beautiful and various islands of Greece. During our sailing trips we prefer to call at harbours that are less touristic and small, like Symi, 'the pearl of the Aegean Sea', Pathmos, that inspired St. John for his revelations, the ancient pirate island Phourni and the ever sulphur-fume spitting volcanic island Nisyros.
